The County Integrated Development Plan II (CIDP II) under Roads, Public Works and Transport outlines several indicators that measure the county’s progress towards its development goals from 2017-2022. Here are some key achievements to date:
Roads
The county had a target of grading 6,000 km of roads by 2022, with a baseline of 5200 km in 2017. However, the county has exceeded this target by grading 13,000 km of roads due to increased allocation of machinery from MTF and improved efficiency.
Gabions
The county had a target of constructing 4,000 gabions and heavy grading structures by 2022, with a baseline of 0 in 2017. However, the county has exceeded this target by constructing 5,400 structures, thanks to adequate funds.
Drifts
The county aimed to construct 6,080 m of drifts by 2022, starting with a baseline of 3,560 m in 2017. However, the county has constructed 7,000 m of drifts, thanks to adequate funds.
Dustless Towns
The county aimed to make 5 towns dustless by 2022, starting with a baseline of 0 in 2017. However, only 4.5 towns have been made dustless to date due to inadequate funds
